Centre back who Brendan Rodgers has touted as being the next John Terry. Rodgers made him vice captain and put him in touch with Terry to get the tips off the Chelsea and England captain.
A strong physical presence with good ability in the air Pearce is a fairly decent player – but unfortunately he lacks pace and agility. Not a bad back up player, but from what we’ve seen so far he looks unlikely to become a regular starter.
A Scotland Under-21 he has played on loan at Southampton, Bournemouth, Northampton and Norwich.
